Workshops - Grief Support Education Workshop
Every 2 - 3 years, Lower Mainland Grief Recovery Society offers a Grief Education Workshop. This workshop presents participants with an in-depth knowledge of the grief process, insights and tools to assist and support those who are experiencing grief.
We explore various models that can be used to support those who are grieving - in groups or individually. Grief is a healing process after a loss. Our program normalizes this process and gives individuals a structure that assists them to move through this process. We use an Adult Education Model that is both didactic and experiential.
The workshop is held on 3 Saturdays. It is of interest to those applying to Lower Mainland Grief Recovery Society as facilitators as well as Social Workers, Counsellors, Pastoral Care Workers and to others wanting to support those who are grieving.
The program is conducted by Kathy Schretlen, Counsellor and Carolyn Main, Counsellor. Kathy and Carolyn have more that 20 years combined experience in grief support.
Next dates: March 17th, 24th and 31st, 2012
Cost: $400
